Your settings, notifications and deleting your account
Where your name, photo and sign-in details live, which emails you get, and how to close your account.
Available on All plans
Settings holds everything about your account rather than your content. It is split into six tabs, and most of what you need is on the first two.
What is on each tab
The six tabs
- Profile
- Your name, photo, email and how you sign in
- Notifications
- Which emails the app sends you
- Social Connections
- The accounts you post to
- Connected Apps
- AI assistants connected to your account
- Billing
- Your plan and what you have used
- Help & Support
- Getting hold of someone
Change your name or photo
- 1
Open Settings and stay on the Profile tab.
- 2
Select Upload Photo to change your picture. A square image of at least 200 by 200 pixels works best, up to 5 MB.
- 3
Change your name in the Name field.
- 4
Select Save Changes.
How you sign in
The Profile tab lists the ways you can get into your account, under Sign-in methods. There is no password to manage: you sign in through the account shown there.
Choose which emails you get
- 1
Select the Notifications tab.
- 2
Turn Tips, updates and special offers on or off. The tab tells you which way round you are at the moment.
- 3
Under Account Notifications, choose whether you want email updates about your account, and whether you want telling when an extraction has finished.
- 4
Select Save Preferences.
Deleting your account
At the foot of the Profile tab there is a Danger Zone holding Delete Account. The app states plainly what it does: it permanently deletes your account and all associated data, and it cannot be undone.
Take a copy of anything you want to keep before you use it. Your profile can be exported from Your Content Profile, and your content sits in your Library until the account goes.
Getting hold of someone
The Help & Support tab is where to go when the answer is not here.
