Generate content from an idea
Turn one of your content ideas into a written draft, choose the format it suits, and edit it before it goes anywhere.
Available on All plans
An idea on its own is a prompt to yourself. Generating turns it into a draft you can read, change and post. You choose the format, and the app writes to it.
Start from an idea
- 1
Open a conversation from your Library and find the idea you want to use.
- 2
Select Generate on that idea. The page that opens is headed Choose a Format and shows the idea you picked under Selected Idea, so you can check you are working from the right one.
Choose a format
You are offered the formats that suit the group the idea came from, rather than every format in the app. That keeps the choice to things that work at that length.
What each group offers
- Long Form ideas
- Long-form Written, or Long-form Video
- Short Form ideas
- Short-form Video, or Written Post
- Micro Content ideas
- Microcontent
Where a group offers only one format, the page says so rather than making you choose from a list of one.
What you get back
The draft is written against your profile and against the idea, including the words your own clients use. It also takes account of the two scores on the idea. An idea strong on attention is written to educate, one strong on driving action is written to convert, and one strong on both is written to build trust in between.
How the two scores shape the draft
- Strong on TOF only
- Written to get attention and educate
- Strong on BOF only
- Written to move the reader to act
- Strong on both
- Written to build trust and keep the reader warm
Work on the draft
What comes back is a draft, not a finished post. You can edit it in place, and your changes are kept as you type. The controls on the page let you copy it, star it to keep it in your Favorites, mark it as used once it has gone out, and schedule it.
Good to know
- Formats offered
- Only the ones that suit the group the idea came from
- Long-form Video
- Works like the rest, though its tile is greyer than the others
- Edits
- Kept as you make them
- Reuse
- One idea can be generated more than once
- Nothing is sent
- A draft goes out only when you schedule it
