When a post fails to publish
Find the post that did not go out, see which platform it failed on, and send it again.
Available on All plans
A scheduled post can fail to go out. The post is not lost: it stays in your list, marked so you can find it, and you can send it again.
Find the post
- 1
Open Schedule from the left sidebar.
- 2
Select Failed above the list. The list narrows to posts that did not go out.
See which platform failed
Each platform succeeds or fails on its own, so a post can go out on one and fail on another. Rest the pointer on a platform icon in the row. It names the outcome for that platform, in the form LinkedIn: failed or LinkedIn: published.
Send it again
There is no retry button. You send the post again by editing it or by making a copy.
- 1
Select the … menu at the right of the row.
- 2
Select Edit to correct the post and set a new time. Select Duplicate to keep the original and schedule a copy.
- 3
Set the time under When, then select Schedule post.
If LinkedIn access has run out
The most common reason a LinkedIn post fails is that access has run out. LinkedIn ends access every 60 days for every app that posts on your behalf.
- 1
Open Settings, then the Social Connections tab.
- 2
Select Reconnect — LinkedIn access expires every 60 days, then sign in to LinkedIn again.
- 3
Send the failed post again using the steps above.
