Set up your profile with Quick Setup
Give the app a couple of links and have it write the first draft of your content profile for you to check.
Available on All plans
Your content profile is what every draft is written against, so it has to exist before the app can sound like you. Quick Setup writes the first version of it from what is already published about your business, which is faster than filling in a form from a blank page.
What you need
Somewhere the app can read about you. A website is the most useful, and a LinkedIn profile helps. You do not need both, but the more it can read, the less you will have to correct afterwards.
Give it your links
- 1
Open Quick Setup. The page is headed Build Your Content Profile and explains that it takes a few links and builds your profile from them.
- 2
Type your business name, your website address and your LinkedIn address. Choose an industry if you want to, though you do not have to.
- 3
Start it, and wait while it reads what it can find and writes your profile.
Check what it wrote
The second step is headed Review Your Profile, and this is the part worth slowing down for. What you have is a draft about your own business, written by something that has read your website rather than met you.
Sections marked amber are the ones the app is least sure about. Read those first, and correct anything that is off before you save.
After you save
The profile becomes the one the app writes against. You can open it and change any part of it whenever you like, and you can give it documents and samples of your own writing to draw on as well.
