Track a post from draft to published
Follow a post through every state it can be in, from an unscheduled draft through to published, and find it again at any point.
Available on All plans
Every post you write sits in one of a few states. The Schedule page shows that state in the list, so you can tell at any moment what has gone out, what is waiting, and what needs attention.
The states a post can be in
What each label means
- Draft
- Written but not set to go out. The date column reads Not scheduled
- Scheduled
- Set to go out at a date and time you chose
- Published
- Gone out
- Failed
- Did not go out. Shown beside Scheduled, not instead of it
Find posts in one state
- 1
Open Schedule from the left sidebar.
- 2
Select one of the tabs above the list: All, Drafts, Scheduled, Published or Failed. The list narrows to that state, and the tab you chose is the one in darker text.
- 3
To find one post, type part of it into Search posts.
See the month at a glance
- 1
Select Calendar at the top right. The list becomes a month grid running Monday to Sunday, with each post sitting on the day it goes out.
- 2
Move between months with the arrows beside the month name, or select the month name to pick another.
- 3
Select the plus on any day to start a post for that day.
- 4
Select List to go back to the list.
Check where a post actually went
A post can carry more than one platform, and each one succeeds or fails on its own. Rest the pointer on a platform icon in the row and it tells you the outcome for that platform, in the form LinkedIn: published or Instagram: failed.
Good to know
- Drafts
- Stay until you schedule them. Nothing goes out by itself
- Filters
- The platform icons above the list narrow it to one platform
- Views
- List and Calendar show the same posts
- A failed post
- Keeps its time and can be sent again by editing or duplicating it
