Connect an AI assistant

You can connect an AI assistant to your account so it works with your ideas where you already are. It can search what you have saved, draft content, schedule posts and capture new thoughts, without you leaving the conversation.

Before you start

This works with whichever assistant you already use, as long as it accepts a custom connector. Claude, ChatGPT and others all do. What the setting is called varies between them, so the steps below give the address to paste and where to find it, and you add it the way your own assistant expects.

Connect it

Open Settings, then select the Connected Apps tab.

Find Your connection address and select Copy.

In your assistant, find where it adds a custom connector and paste the address there. In Claude that is Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Other assistants word it differently.

Your assistant sends you back here to sign in. Sign in with this same account.

Look at what the assistant is asking to do, then approve it once.

What happens when you connect

Your assistant sends you here to sign in. You sign in with this same account, so the assistant never sees your password and the app never sees the assistant credentials. You see exactly what it will be able to do and approve it once.

Generate content in your voice: Write drafts using your profile
Schedule posts to your connected accounts: Put posts into your schedule

Connecting more than one

You are not limited to a single assistant. Each connection is listed separately, with its own permissions, so you can allow one of them more than another.

Checking on a connection

Each connected assistant shows when it was connected and when it was last used, with a short list of what it has been doing recently. That is the quickest way to see whether something is using your account when you did not expect it.

Removing a connection

Select Disconnect on the assistant. It loses access immediately and its next request is refused. If you would rather keep the connection but allow it less, clear the permissions you do not want instead of disconnecting.
